Akshat Nauriyal is an Independent from New Delhi.
He works with film, photo and new media as a constant exploration of the medium and the stories one can tell with them. He was born in 1984,
Having had no formal training in film making (just like playing drums), he bought his first camera in 2009 – a second hand Canon 7d, and set about the task of documenting life as he saw it. The Now Delhi project was born out of the need to document all the amazing people around him doing some amazing things – but without too many people really taking notice of them. Well atleast not in in 2009-10. Now Delhi was created to change all that.
His work has since been featured on The BBC, The Guardian, The Huffington Post, The Indian Express, Buzzfeed, The Wall Street Journal, The Hindu and several other publications and portals. His films have had screenings in festivals and on television networks in France, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand & India. He has also co-founded India’s largest street art festival and has also curated exhibits for the prestigious Google Cultural Institue.
He also runs an audio-visual studio by the name of Now Delhi where he works as a director to produce content ranging from fiction / non fiction films, music videos, fashion films, and such.
Currently he lives in New Delhi, which, to him atleast, doesn’t really seem like the most polluted city in the world. He plays drums with ‘critically acclaimed‘ (cough) lofi/punk/noise rock band Hoirong.
If you have anything to say to him, like how this is the most pointless bio you have ever read,

And if you have browsed the website, or are here, on this page reading all of this,
then thank you for your time!
